Amankila

Imagine waking up to a sunrise that spills over Mount Agung, Bali's sacred volcano. That's the view from Amankila, a luxurious resort perched on East Bali's lush hillsides. Here, you'll be miles away from the crowds. It's a place to unwind, soak up the slower pace of life, and discover a Bali that's untouched by mass tourism.

But Amankila isn't just about peace and quiet. It's also about indulging in tropical paradise. Picture a three-tiered infinity pool cascading down the hillside towards a private black-sand beach. Or, relax by another pool nestled amongst the greenery, just steps from the shore. No matter where you choose to unwind, the service is impeccable, and every corner you turn offers a postcard-perfect view.

The only downside? The gym is a bit on the small side, using space from one of the suites. But with so much beauty to explore outdoors, who needs a gym anyway?

Pro Tips: Try emailing Amankila for reservation, if you are local residents they usually have special rate for residents.

Alila Uluwatu

This is by far the best Alila's properties that I've been so far. It sits on the dramatic limestone cliffs of Bali's Bukit Peninsula. This architectural masterpiece blends sleek design with Balinese accents, showcasing breathtaking ocean panoramas. The dramatic location atop the towering cliffs guarantees jaw-dropping views in every direction, encompassing untouched coastline, lush landscapes, and the distant volcanic peaks of Bali's interior.

The crown jewel of Alila Villas Uluwatu is its iconic cliffside infinity pool. This architectural marvel seems to spill directly into the endless expanse of the Indian Ocean, creating the illusion of swimming amidst the boundless sky. Sunken cabanas dot the pool's edge, perfect for luxurious lounging while soaking in the endless blue. You don't get to see the sun descends but you can enjoy the sky transformed into a canvas of fiery orange, pink, and purple hues.

I stayed at the one bedroom villa and it is spacious with private swimming pool so you definitely can have special time there.
